Leaving Tecton after 5 years

19th April 2025 was my last day at Tecton, after 5 years.

Tecton has always been the strongest team that I have ever had the good fortune to work with. The amount of depth and empathy that everyone has demonstrated has been extremely impressive. This team has built incredibly complex and capable systems, and really gone the extra mile to solve problems that our customers could not solve themselves. The time I've spent here has felt both much shorter and longer than 5 years. On the one hand I remember my initial conversations with the team (having zoom happy hours during the pandemic) as well as the stuff we shipped to support early customers (EMR?) like it was yesterday. On the other hand, there were things that seemed to last forever, like some Game day week months. These brought great discipline to what we were shipping though.

Also significantly, my family grew 100% in the time that I was here. This was the best team to be in the trenches with through it all, and for that and much more.

At some point I'll write more technical posts on the stuff that we were building at Tecton.
